Good to know

  • For October to December 2026 the maximum OAS pension is $762.50 a month at 65 to 74 and $838.75 at 75 and older, after a 1.4% increase.
  • The maximum GIS for a single person is $1,138.90 a month for October to December 2026.
  • OAS is clawed back at 15% of net income over $95,323 for the 2026 income year.
  • OAS and GIS are paid on the same day as CPP.

Canada Pension Plan (CPP) is paid on the same days.

+What if my OAS payment doesn't arrive?

Wait 5 working days (10 for a cheque) after the payment date before contacting the government. Payments by direct deposit usually arrive on the morning of the payment date.
